Role & responsibilities:

- Coordinate and oversee the finance and accounts functions of all Veerayatan units across India.
- Provide strategic financial leadership and ensure sound financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
- Work in alignment with the vision, values, and guidance of the Spiritual Head of the organization.
- Strengthen internal financial systems, policies, controls, and governance practices across all units.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory regulations, including FCRA, Income Tax, Societies Registration regulations, and other relevant legal and financial requirements.
- Liaise with statutory auditors at both central and regional levels, as well as internal auditors, to ensure timely completion of audits and compliance requirements.
- Plan and manage the deployment of short-term funds to optimize liquidity and financial efficiency.
- Build and maintain solid relationships with institutional and major donors by providing timely financial and project progress reports.
- Travel periodically to various Veerayatan centres across India to review systems and operations.




- Advise the senior leadership on financial strategies, risk management, and governance matters.
- Present financial reports and recommendations to the President, Honorary General Secretary, and Honorary Treasurer.

Preferred candidate profile:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.
- Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, preferably within an NGO, trust, charitable organization, or not-for-profit sector.
- Minimum 10-15 years experience in handling trusts and charitable institutions is essential.
- Should have working knowledge of legal and statutory assignments.
- Thorough understanding of FCRA regulations, Income Tax provisions applicable to NGOs, Societies Registration regulations, and related statutory compliances.
- Experience in donor reporting and financial governance.
