Job Description

The Controller is responsible for delivering high-quality financial controlling, analysis, and reporting to support effective business decision-making. Reporting to the Head of Controlling, the role combines strong analytical capabilities with business understanding, ensuring reliable financial insights, transparency, and compliance with applicable standards. The position acts as a key partner to management by analyzing performance, challenging assumptions, and contributing to financial governance and planning processes.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

- Prepare, analyze, and deliver management reporting and financial performance insights.
- Support preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and regulatory reporting (e.g. Solvency II).
- Perform financial planning activities, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Analyze and challenge financial results, including actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
- Conduct reconciliation of financial data between systems (e.g. insurance systems and ERP).
- Perform project controlling for internal initiatives and investments.




- Contribute to improving data quality and development of BI and reporting solutions.
- Support development and maintenance of reporting standards, processes, and NORMs.
- Review financial implications of transactions and support accounting assessments.
- Support audits by preparing documentation and analysis for internal and external auditors.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis, including product profitability and business performance.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and system implementations across the organization.

Financial analyses and reports are delivered accurately, transparently, and on time. Compliance with accounting standards (IFRS, local GAAP) and regulatory requirements Business Impact. Financial insights are clear, relevant, and actively support management decision-making. Effective challenge and contribution to planning, forecasting, and performance discussions.

Operational Excellence -

Forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes are reliable and continuously improved. High data quality and consistency across systems and reporting outputs.

Competences -

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to translate financial data into business insights. Structured and detail-oriented approach. Solid stakeholder management and communication skills - Proactive, independent, and solution-oriented mindset.

Technical Skills -

Solid understanding of financial controlling, accounting, and reporting principles. Knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP, and regulatory reporting (e.g. Solvency II preferred). Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and financial reporting tools. Advanced Excel and strong data analysis skills. Experience with data warehouse and BI solutions (preferred).
