Required Qualifications

- CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA, or MBA (Finance) preferred.
- 15 - 20+ years of progressive finance experience.
- Minimum 5 -10 years in a senior finance leadership role within the construction, EPC, engineering, or contracting industry.

Technical Skills

- Financial modeling and analysis.
- Advanced budgeting and forecasting.
- Construction cost accounting.
- Contract revenue recognition.
- Treasury and cash flow management.
- Tax planning and compliance.
- ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

Role & responsibilities

Position Summary

The Vice President Finance is responsible for leading the financial strategy, planning, reporting, taxation, and commercial finance functions of a construction contracting business. The role requires extensive experience in project-based accounting, contract management, cash flow optimization, and financial risk management across large-scale Data Center construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership

- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Provide financial insights to executive leadership for strategic decision-making.
- Establish and maintain robust financial governance and internal controls.

Construction Project Finance

- Oversee project budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
- Monitor project cash flows, cost-to-complete estimates,



and earned value reporting.
- Review project financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Ensure accurate accounting for contract revenues, variations, claims, retention, and work-in-progress.

Commercial & Contract Management

- Evaluate project financing requirements and commercial risks.
- Collaborate with project teams to improve project margins and cash collections.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

- Manage working capital and liquidity across multiple projects.
- Optimize cash flow forecasting and funding requirements.
- Negotiate banking facilities, project financing, and guarantees.
- Manage letters of credit, performance bonds, advance payment guarantees, and insurance requirements.

Financial Reporting

- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Prepare management reports and board presentations.
- Monitor KPIs including:
- Project profitability
- Gross margins
- Cash conversion
- Working capital
- Equipment utilization
- Return on capital employed (ROCE)

Risk Management

- Identify financial and commercial risks associated with projects.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor exposure related to claims, disputes, and contract variations.
- Ensure appropriate insurance coverage.

Team Leadership

- Lead finance, accounting, treasury, tax, and commercial finance teams.
- Mentor finance managers and develop succession plans.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
