Role & responsibilities

MEPF Design Strategy and Governance:

- Define design guidelines, performance standards, and MEPFF specifications for all projects in alignment with project goals, sustainability targets, and building codes.
- Formulate design review and approval protocols for consultants, ensuring uniformity and quality across developments.
- Standardize MEPF design deliverables (drawings, BOQs, specifications, etc.) across project types.

Technical Leadership:

- Lead internal MEPFF teams and engineers and external consultants in the preparation of detailed designs, layouts, system schematics, and technical documentation.
- Provide expert guidance in the selection and integration of systems like HVAC, electrical distribution, lighting, fire detection & suppression, water supply, drainage, and STPs.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, sustainability solutions, and regulatory changes; ensure incorporation into design strategies.

Design Review and Quality Assurance:

- Goude and conduct technical review and sign-off of BOQs, drawings, calculations, equipment selections, and system sizing across disciplines.
- Validate technical submittals, shop drawings, and method statements received from consultants, vendors and contractors.
- Identify gaps, clashes, and inefficiencies in design and drive corrective actions with consultants and site teams.
- Stakeholder and Consultant Management:
- Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all MEPFF design aspects during planning stages.
- Manage design consultants by defining scope,



deliverables, timelines, and approval protocols.
- Coordinate with architectural, infrastructure and structural teams to ensure design compatibility and system integration.

Budgeting and Value Engineering:

- Provide input into cost estimates and conduct value engineering studies to optimize capital expenditure without compromising on performance or quality.
- Participate in technical evaluation of vendor and contractor proposals in alignment with project cost targets.

Site Coordination & Support:

- Provide technical support to the project and site teams during early execution phases and for resolving design conflicts on-site.
- Support project commissioning and handover processes with quality assurance for MEPF systems.

Reporting and Compliance:

- Ensure all MEPF designs comply with relevant IS codes, NBC, ECBC, local fire norms, and statutory approvals.
- Prepare technical status reports and present updates to leadership during design reviews and project governance meetings.

Preferred candidate profile

Education Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Work Experience(Range of years): 17-25 Years

Preferred Industry: Experience in real estate in MEPF design management roles in developer firms with part experience in good consulting firms. Solid understanding of multi-disciplinary design coordination, national codes, and building services integration. Familiarity with tools like AutoCAD, Revit MEPF, and MS Project/Primavera.
