Role & responsibilities

Job Description: L2 Oracle Database Administrator

- Administer and maintain Oracle database environments.

- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) administration and troubleshooting.

- Monitor database performance, availability, and capacity utilization.

- Perform database backup, recovery, and restoration activities using RMAN.

- Troubleshoot database issues and perform performance tuning.

- Execute database patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities.

- Manage Oracle RAC environments, including cluster monitoring and issue resolution.

- Administer Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management) and database storage management.

- Manage database user accounts, privileges, and security controls.

- Support database migration, upgrade, and routine maintenance tasks.

- Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) drills, failover, and failback activities.

- Coordinate with application teams, infrastructure teams, and vendors for issue resolution.





- Prepare and maintain database operational documentation and SOPs.

- Participate in 24x7 support operations and incident management.

Preferred candidate profile:

- 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration in a production environment.
- Solid experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, database backup & recovery, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience in database patching, upgrades, migrations, and routine maintenance.
- Good knowledge of Oracle Database 12c/19c, SQL, PL/SQL, and Linux.
- Experience in Disaster Recovery (DR), high availability (HA), and incident management.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to coordinate with application, infrastructure, and vendor teams.
- Positive documentation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Willingness to work in a 24x7 production support environment.
