Job Title: Technical Architect (Brownfield Transformation Experience)

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect with strong expertise in brownfield transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will lead the modernization, integration, and optimization of existing legacy systems while minimizing business disruption. You will define architecture strategies, guide engineering teams, and ensure scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Strategy

- Define and drive end-to-end architecture for brownfield transformation programs.
- Assess existing (legacy) systems and recommend modernization approaches (rehost, refactor, replatform, replace).
- Develop target architecture, transition architectures, and roadmaps.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and business goals.

Brownfield Transformation

- Lead legacy system assessments, technical due diligence, and gap analysis.
- Design migration strategies (cloud, microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures).
- Enable incremental modernization without disrupting ongoing business operations.
- Handle data migration, system interoperability, and backward compatibility.

Technology Leadership

- Provide technical leadership across teams (developers, DevOps, QA).
- Establish best practices for coding, integration, and deployment.
- Drive adoption of contemporary technologies (cloud platforms, containers, APIs, CI/CD).

Integration & Systems Design





- Architect integration using APIs, middleware, ESB, microservices.
- Ensure seamless connectivity between legacy and modern systems.
- Design event-driven and distributed architectures where required.

Governance & Quality

- Define and enforce architecture governance frameworks.
- Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and technical audits.
- Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.

Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and leadership.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and architecture models.
- Present architecture decisions to stakeholders and leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

- Strong experience with:
- Legacy systems (monoliths) modernization
- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Microservices architecture
- API design & integration (REST, GraphQL, etc.)

- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with databases (SQL & NoSQL).

Brownfield Experience

- Proven experience in modernizing legacy applications.
- Hands-on exposure to:
- Application reengineering
- Data migration strategies
- System decoupling and modularization

Design & Architecture

- Expertise in:
- System design patterns
- Distributed systems
- Event-driven architecture

- Ability to create HLDs, LLDs, and architecture blueprints.
