We are looking for an experienced Veritas NetBackup Administrator L2 with robust expertise in enterprise backup administration, implementation, troubleshooting, and support activities. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Veritas NetBackup environments, backup policies, disaster recovery, and backup infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support Veritas NetBackup environments.
- Configure and manage Master Servers, Media Servers, and NetBackup Appliances.
- Manage backup policies, schedules, retention policies, and storage units.
- Troubleshoot backup and restore failures across enterprise environments.
- Analyze logs such as bptm, bpbrm, and bpdbm for root cause analysis.
- Configure and manage MSDP pools, tape libraries, and backup storage.
- Support backup and recovery operations for Windows, Linux, Unix, SQL Server, and Oracle environments.
- Perform disaster recovery activities including replication, vaulting, and recovery testing.
- Generate reports using OpsCenter and IT Analytics.
- Perform backup performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Provide L2 support for incidents, service requests, and change activities.
- Participate in 24x7 operational support and on-call rotations.
