Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and modify PLC programs for recent and existing machines.
2. Design and develop HMI/SCADA screens for machine operation and monitoring.
3. Commission PLC-controlled machines at customer sites.
4. Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, sensor, and electrical control issues.
5. Optimize machine cycle time, productivity, and process efficiency.
6. Develop safety interlocks and machine protection logic.
7. Prepare electrical I/O lists, control philosophy, and software documentation.
8. Integrate PLCs with VFDs, servo drives, robots, barcode systems, and industrial communication protocols.
9. Support service engineers in diagnosing automation-related problems.
10. Provide technical training to customers and internal teams.

Maintain program backups, version control, and software documentation.
12. Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
13. Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and customer specifications.
14. Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, and Service teams during project execution.
15. Support machine upgrades, retrofits, and performance improvements.

Preferred candidate profile

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
