Role & responsibilities

The Assistant Fashion Designer supports the design team in creating luxury bridal and couture garments. The role involves assisting with design development, coordinating with artisans and production teams, managing samples, sourcing fabrics and embellishments, and ensuring every outfit meets the brand's quality and design standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design Support

- Assist in designing bridal lehengas, SKD, sarees, and couture outfits.
- Create sketches, mood boards, and design presentations.
- Research fashion trends, colours, fabrics, embroidery techniques, and bridal styles.
- Help develop new collections while maintaining the brand's design identity.

Fabric & Embellishment

- Source fabrics, laces, trims, and accessories from approved vendors.
- Coordinate the development of embroidery, handwork, and embellishment samples.

Sample Development

- Work closely with pattern masters, sample tailors, and embroidery karigars during garment development.
- Prepare design sheets and measurement details for sampling.

Production Coordination

- Coordinate with production, embroidery, and finishing teams to track sample progress.




- Ensure garments are completed as per approved designs and timelines.
- Check garments for fit, finishing, embroidery quality, and overall presentation before approval.

Vendor & Artisan Coordination

- Communicate with fabric suppliers, embroidery units, dyeing vendors, and other external partners.
- Follow up on material deliveries and sample completion.

Qualification

- Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design.
- 3-4 years of experience in bridal, couture, or luxury fashion. Fresh graduates with a strong portfolio may also be considered.

Skills Required

- Good fashion illustration and sketching skills.
- Knowledge of Indian bridal wear, garment construction, fabrics, and embroidery techniques.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for luxury aesthetics.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a solid team spirit.
