• Lead the hydraulic and mechanical design of high-efficiency V4/V6 borewell and
openwell pumps.
- Design and optimize impellers, diffusers, casings, shafts, bearing housings, and other
critical pump components.
- Perform hydraulic calculations to achieve the required head, discharge, efficiency, and
power consumption.
- Review and approve AutoCAD drawings, ensuring strict adherence to GD&T; standards.
- Conduct root-cause analysis of field failures and prototype test defects, and implement
effective design improvements.
- Work closely with Production, Foundry, and Machining teams to ensure manufacturable
and cost-effective designs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., IS 8034, IS 14220, or international
equivalents).
- Drive cost reduction through material optimization and value engineering.
- Being responsible for NPD, pattern development and prototype development.
