A leading FMCG MNC is looking for an experienced Purchase Manager – RM/PM to lead procurement of Raw Materials (RM) and Packaging Materials (PM) while ensuring uninterrupted material availability for manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Plan Raw Material (RM) and Packaging Material (PM) requirements based on monthly production plans, considering physical stock, SFG, open POs, and inventory levels.

Generate Material Requirement Planning (MRP) in SAP and ensure timely procurement.

Create and release Purchase Orders (POs) based on approved vendors, pricing, lead times, and production schedules.

Drive supplier follow-ups to ensure on-time delivery and prevent production disruptions.

Coordinate with Central Purchase, Plant Head, Production, Stores, QA, QC, R&D;, and Supply Chain teams for seamless material availability.

Manage procurement activities for New Product Development (NPD) and Existing Product Development (EPD), ensuring timely sourcing of RM and PM.

Monitor inventory, conduct ageing analysis of slow-moving and non-moving materials, and implement corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with IMS, ISO, and internal procurement procedures.





Lead vendor development, supplier evaluation, contract negotiations, and alternate sourcing initiatives.

Negotiate pricing, MOQ, lead time, payment terms, and commercial agreements with suppliers.

Coordinate the return of rejected materials and ensure timely documentation, claim settlements, and transportation.

Maintain procurement MIS, SAP master data, and documentation with high accuracy.

Work closely with Finance and Stores to ensure smooth invoice processing, GRN reconciliation, and inventory accuracy.

Desired Candidate Profile

8+ years of procurement experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment.

Strong hands-on experience in Raw Material (RM) and Packaging Material (PM) procurement.

Experience in material planning, MRP, inventory management, and vendor development.

Hands-on experience with SAP and Advanced MS Excel.

Strong negotiation, commercial acumen, and supplier relationship management skills.

Good understanding of store operations, procurement compliance, IMS, and ISO standards.

Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
