Job Description: Shift Mechanical Engineer

Designation: Shift Engineer Mechanical

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 2-5 Years

Industry Exposure: Boiler, Turbine, Captive Power Plant

No. of Positions: 6

Location:

- 2 Positions - Vapi
- 2 Positions Sarigam (Near Vapi)
- 2 Positions- Panoli/Ankleshwar/Jhagadia

Key Responsibilities:

- Optimize fuel consumption and improve overall plant efficiency.
- Reduce fuel, steam, water, and ash losses.
- Record and report daily shift-wise manpower to the supervisor.
- Ensure proper housekeeping of the plant area.
- Monitor the quality of boiler feed water.
- Conduct routine checks of mechanical equipment and report abnormalities.
- Follow preventive and breakdown maintenance practices.
- Ensure safety of manpower and report near-miss incidents.
- Share hourly steam distribution data with department management.




- Communicate with clients regarding steam flow and pressure-related issues.
- Monitor performance of boilers, turbines, pumps, valves, and other mechanical equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Identify mechanical issues and coordinate with the maintenance team for quick resolution.
- Maintain proper documentation of maintenance work and equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with plant safety and operational standards.

People Management:

- Handle and supervise a team of 6-8 workmen.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with operations and other departments.
