Drone Pilot - Mining Survey OperationsPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Drone Pilot to join our team, specializing in mining survey operations and digital technology deployment. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting aerial surveys, data collection, and supporting mining operations through advanced drone technology. Work location will be chattisgarh or Karnataka. Key Responsibilities
- Operate survey-grade drones for mining site mapping, volumetric analysis, and topographical surveys
- Deploy and implement digital technologies for mine survey applications
- Process and analyze aerial data using specialized software platforms
- Ensure compliance with all DGCA regulations and safety protocols
- Collaborate with survey teams, engineers, and project managers
- Maintain detailed flight logs and operational records
- Perform pre-flight and post-flight equipment checks and maintenance
- Prepare technical reports and data presentations for stakeholders
Required QualificationsExperience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in deployment and implementation of digital technologies in mine survey and allied sectors
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience operating survey-grade drones in professional environments
Certifications & Licenses
- Valid DGCA Remote Pilot License (RPL) Small category.
- All necessary DGCA authorizations for commercial drone operations.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in operating survey-grade drone systems
- Experience with photogrammetry and LiDAR data collection
- Knowledge of GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and surveying software
- Familiarity with data processing software (Pix4D, Agisoft Metashape, DroneDeploy)
- Understanding of coordinate systems, geodetic datums, and survey principles
Preferred Qualifications
- Any Diploma or certification in surveying,
geomatics, remote sensing, or related field.
- Additional certifications in photogrammetry, LiDAR, or remote sensing applications.
- Prior experience in mining or infrastructure survey projects.
- Knowledge of mining operations and safety protocols
- Previous experience in open-pit or underground mining environments

Role & Responsibilities
- Operate DGCA-certified survey drones/UAVs for mine mapping, topographical surveys, aerial inspections, and volumetric analysis
- Conduct drone-based surveys to support mining operations with accurate field data collection
- Perform aerial mapping and survey data acquisition using drone technology
- Process and interpret survey data for mining applications and reporting
- Ensure all drone operations comply with DGCA regulations and site safety standards
- Coordinate with survey engineers, mine planners, and project teams for survey execution
- Maintain flight logs, survey records, and operational reports
- Perform pre-flight planning, calibration, and post-flight equipment inspections
- Troubleshoot basic drone operational issues and ensure equipment readiness
- Travel to mining project sites for survey and operational support
- Support ongoing mining projects by delivering accurate and timely survey data
- Immediate joining preferred to support urgent project requirements
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Must have a valid DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate / License
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in drone operations / UAV survey / mine survey
- Experience in drone mapping, topographical survey, aerial data collection, or mine survey operations
- Knowledge of surveying principles, GIS mapping, and drone survey workflows
- Experience in mining, infrastructure, or field survey projects preferred
- Familiarity with drone safety procedures and DGCA compliance requirements
- Candidate should be comfortable with fieldwork, travel, and site-based deployment
- Good coordination and communication skills for working with field teams
- Immediate joiners will be given high preference
- Candidates with mining survey experience and DGCA certification will be preferred
