Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly responsible Factory Admin & Operations Head to oversee our centralized production facility. In this role, you will bridge the gap between core administration, daily production management, and rigorous quality control.

The ideal candidate will ensure that the factory operates efficiently, meets daily supply demands from client shops, maintains impeccable food safety standards, and manages the workforce effectively.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Management & Scheduling

* Plan, organize, and direct the daily production schedules for finished sweets, gravies, and raw materials based on client orders.

* Optimize the utilization of machinery, raw materials, and skilled labor (karigars and workers) to minimize wastage and downtime.

* Monitor daily yield and ensure timely dispatch of orders to various sweet shops in Ranchi and surrounding areas.

* Forecast raw material requirements and coordinate with the procurement team to prevent stockouts.

2. Quality Control (QC) & Food Safety

* Implement and enforce strict quality control protocols from raw material procurement to final packaging.

* Conduct regular sensory checks (taste, texture, aroma, and appearance) to ensure consistency across all batches of mithai and gravies.

* Maintain top-tier hygiene and sanitation standards across the production floor, cold storage, and packaging areas.





* Ensure strict compliance with FSSAI regulations, local municipal health guidelines, and safety standards.

3. Factory Administration & Daily Operations

* Oversee the day-to-day administration of the facility, including facility maintenance, security, and utility management (power, water, refrigeration).

* Manage attendance, shifts, leave schedules, and discipline of the production staff, helpers, and delivery drivers.

* Maintain accurate daily reports on production logs, inventory usage, wastage metrics, and dispatch logs.

* Resolve any operational bottlenecks or breakdown issues promptly to avoid supply chain disruptions.

4. Supply Chain & Logistics Oversight

* Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure appropriate packaging (especially for perishable gravies and delicate sweets) and timely dispatch.

* Monitor the temperature-controlled handling of products during transit to neighboring regions.

* Handle feedback or quality complaints from client shops and implement corrective actions immediately.

Qualifications and Experience

* Education: Bachelors degree in Food Technology, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

* Experience: 5 to 8 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a food processing unit, commercial kitchen, central commissary, or FMCG environment. Experience in the Indian dairy or traditional sweets (mithai) sector is highly preferred.

* Language: Fluency in Hindi and English or Bengali.

Key Skills & Competencies

* Deep understanding of bulk food production processes, shelf-life management, and cold chain logistics.

* Strong leadership and people management skills, with a proven track record of managing traditional karigars and contract labor.

* Excellent problem-solving abilities and a crisis-management mindset.

* Basic computer literacy (MS Excel, Word) for maintaining production data and reports.
