We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Area Sales Manager (ASM) to lead channel sales operations and expand the dealer/distributor network within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the inverter and battery industry, with a proven track record in distributor appointment, channel development, and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and expand the distributor and dealer network across the assigned territory.
Appoint new distributors at the district level and strengthen the existing channel network.
Drive both Primary Sales (Company to Distributor) and Secondary Sales (Distributor to Dealer/Retailer).
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Identify new business opportunities and increase market penetration.
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and key channel partners.
Monitor distributor performance, inventory levels, and market coverage.
Conduct regular market visits to track competitor activities,
pricing, and customer feedback.
Ensure timely collections and maintain healthy outstanding balances.
Plan and execute sales promotion activities, dealer meets, and branding initiatives.
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence for management.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of channel sales and distribution management.
Excellent experience in primary and secondary sales.
Proven ability to appoint and develop distributors.
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
Target-driven with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor's degree in any discipline (MBA in Marketing preferred).
4–8 years of experience in Channel Sales within the Battery, Inverter, Electrical, or Power Backup industry.
Solid understanding of dealer and distributor network management.
Must have experience handling district-level channel expansion.
