PROFESSOR - OBSTETRICS AND GYNAECOLOGICAL NURSING (OBG)

DOCTORAL QUALIFICATIONS

Ph.D. in Nursing / OBG Nursing

Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Nursing or Obstetrics & Gynaecological Nursing from a recognised university. Candidates with submitted thesis /

awaiting viva may also apply, subject to completion before joining.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION

M.Sc. Nursing OBG Speciality

Master of Science in Nursing with specialisation in Obstetrics & Gynaecological Nursing from a recognised and reputed Nursing College /

University in India, affiliated to a statutory regulatory body.

Valid State Nursing Council (SNC) Registration current registration certificate from the respective State Nursing Council is mandatory.

Enrolled in NRTS (Nurses Registration & Tracking System)

RESEARCH SUPERVISION RECOGNITION

Recognised PG & Ph.D. Research Guide

The candidate must be a recognised Post-Graduate (M.Sc. Nursing) Guide and a recognised Ph.D. / Doctoral Research Supervisor from any reputed University in India. Proof of recognition certificate from the respective university is mandatory at the time of application.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Minimum 8 to 10 Years as a Faculty Member

Total work experience as a faculty member in a recognised Nursing College / Institution of not less than 8 to 10 years, with substantial experience in teaching OBG Nursing at UG and PG levels. Experience in clinical teaching, curriculum development, research guidance, and peer-reviewed publications is expected.

DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES

- Publications in Scopus / UGC-CARE listed / peer-reviewed national or international nursing journals with focus on OBG Nursing, maternal health, or women's reproductive health.




- Proven experience in designing and delivering curriculum for B.Sc. Nursing and M.Sc. Nursing (OBG) as per INC / RGUHS guidelines.
- Active Ph.D. scholars and M.Sc. dissertations under guidance with demonstrated research mentorship record.
- Participation in national / international conferences and CNE programmes as resource person or invited speaker.
- Familiarity with NABH / NAAC documentation, clinical simulation, and institutional quality assurance processes.
