The Finance Controller will be responsible for driving financial governance, plant controllership, and robust accounting practices to support the companys operational transition and ambitious growth plans.

The client is a well-established manufacturing organization with over six decades of industry presence, operating across multiple businesses, joint ventures, and manufacturing facilities. The organization has built a strong reputation in the industry and is now focusing on future technologies and next-generation manufacturing solutions to support long-term growth.

This role will ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, efficient plant accounting, and regulatory compliance, while working closely with the Group CFO and the corporate finance team.

The incumbent will play a key role in supporting the business across more than 10 manufacturing facilities. The role will be responsible for establishing robust financial processes at new facilities, building scalable finance systems, and strengthening governance frameworks to support the company's planned 3X growth over the next three to four years. Additionally, the incumbent will be instrumental in preparing the organization for a potential IPO over the next four to five years.

Roles & Responsibilities Finance Controller:

1. Financial Controllership

- Lead the overall financial controllership function for the manufacturing operations.
- Ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance in financial records and reporting.
- Strengthen financial governance, internal controls, and compliance frameworks.
- Implement best practices in cost control, financial discipline, and financial risk management.

2. Plant Accounting & Cost Management

- Manage plant accounting, product costing, and manufacturing cost analysis.
- Monitor standard costing, variance analysis, and cost optimization initiatives.




- Partner with plant leadership to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
- Track inventory valuation, WIP, cost absorption, and inventory controls.

3. Financial Reporting & Closing

- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
- Ensure timely preparation of financial statements, MIS reports, and management dashboards.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic business decisions.
- Coordinate with corporate finance for consolidated reporting and group-level requirements.

4. Budgeting, Forecasting & Business Planning

- Drive annual budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting processes.
- Monitor budget vs. actual performance and highlight key deviations.
- Support leadership in business expansion planning and capital investment decisions.
- Identify opportunities for margin improvement and cost optimization.

5. Joint Venture & Stakeholder Management

- Manage financial reporting and governance related to Joint Venture operations.
- Coordinate with JV partners, corporate finance teams, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment of JV financial reporting with corporate governance and compliance standards.

6. Plant Transition & Expansion Support

- Support financial planning and execution for plant relocation from North India to South India.
- Ensure smooth transition of financial systems, processes, and reporting frameworks.
- Establish robust finance and accounting infrastructure at the new facility.




- Support the companys strategic plan to scale the business by 3X over the next four years.

7. Compliance, Audit & Risk Management

- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, taxation, and corporate governance policies.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- Strengthen internal controls, audit processes, and financial risk management frameworks.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

8. Business Partnering & Leadership

- Act as a strategic finance partner to plant leadership and functional heads.
- Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Work closely with the Group CFO and corporate finance team on key business initiatives.
- Lead and mentor the plant finance and accounting team.

Candidate Requirements Finance Controller

- CA with 18 to 24 years of experience in Finance, Controllership, and Business Finance within manufacturing organizations.
- Strong expertise in financial controllership, plant finance, accounting, financial closing, statutory compliance, and audit management.
- Proven experience in managing P&L;, profitability, costing, inventory, working capital, and overall financial performance.
- Hands-on exposure to budgeting, forecasting, MIS, financial planning, and business partnering with leadership teams.
- Experience in multi-plant manufacturing environments, group companies, or joint venture (JV) structures.
- Robust understanding of governance, internal controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Exposure to business expansion, greenfield projects, plant transitions, and organizational transformation initiatives.
- Experience in mergers & acquisitions, due diligence, business integration, and integration of newly acquired entities will be preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and strategic finance capabilities.
