Job Title - SAP Functional Consultant - Business Rule Framework Plus (BRF+) with FICA Experience Required - 7+ Years
Timezone - EST (Approx 6:30 PM IST to start, 8 hours a day)
Budget - 1.10-1.60 LPM

Duties and Responsibilities

SAP BRF+ Functional Design & Configuration.

Design, configure, and maintain SAP BRF+ business rules, decision tables, workflows, validations, and rule-based processes.

Translate business requirements into functional BRF+ solutions and decision logic frameworks.

Develop reusable rule structures and governance standards for enterprise-wide rule management.

Support enhancements and optimization of existing BRF+ applications and processes.

SAP FICA Functional Support.

Provide functional expertise for SAP FICA processes including:

o Customer account management.

o Billing and invoicing support.

o Payment processing.

o Collections and dunning.

o Dispute management.

o Write-offs and adjustments.

o Financial reconciliation.

Configure and support FICA business processes and integrations.

Ensure BRF+ solutions align with FICA business and operational requirements.

Requirements Gathering & Business Process Analysis.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze functional requirements.

Conduct workshops and process review sessions to identify automation and rule-based processing opportunities.

Recommend best practices and process improvements leveraging SAP BRF+ capabilities.

Create functional specifications, process flows, decision models, and configuration documentation.

Testing & Validation.

Develop and execute functional test scenarios, integration tests, and user acceptance testing activities.

Validate business rule execution, process outcomes, and FICA integrations.

Support defect analysis, issue resolution, and regression testing activities.

Ensure solution quality, compliance, and auditability.

Integration & Cross-Functional Collaboration.

Collaborate with:

o SAP BRIM teams.

o SAP S/4HANA functional teams.

o Technical developers.





o Integration architects.

o Middleware and data teams.

Support integrations between BRF+, FI-CA, and related SAP modules and enterprise applications.

Assist with deployment, cutover, and production support activities.

Governance & Documentation.

Maintain documentation for business rules, configuration settings, functional specifications, and operational procedures.

Support governance processes for rule lifecycle management and change control.

Ensure compliance with enterprise standards, audit requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

Training & Knowledge Transfer.

Provide user support, training, and knowledge transfer to business and technical teams.

Mentor junior analysts and functional consultants on BRF+ and FICA processes and best practices.

Experience for Senior Role

7 years of SAP functional consulting experience.

3+ years of hands-on SAP FICA experience.

2+ years of experience working with SAP BRF+ business rules and workflow configurations.

Required Qualifications

Proven experience supporting enterprise SAP implementations or transformation programs.

Strong understanding of SAP FICA processes including:

o Customer financial management.

o Payments and collections.

o Dunning and correspondence.

o Account determination.

o Financial postings and reconciliation.

Experience designing and managing:

o BRF+ decision tables.

o Rulesets.

o Expressions.

o Validation logic.

o Workflow integrations.

Experience writing:

o Functional specifications.

o Configuration documents.

o Test scripts and business process documentation.

Familiarity with:

o SAP BRIM.

o SAP S/4HANA.

o SAP integration concepts.

o APIs and middleware solutions.

Prior consulting or contractor experience in enterprise SAP environments.

Required Certifications

Preferred certifications include one or more of the following:

o SAP Certified Application Associate - Financial Contract Accounting (FI-CA).

o SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting.

o SAP BRIM-related certifications preferred.

o SAP Business Process Integration certification is preferred.

o SAP S/4HANA certifications preferred.

Education

Bachelor's degree in:

o Information Systems.

o Computer Science.

o Accounting.

o Finance.

o Business Administration.

o Related discipline.

Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
