Job Title: Hardware / Analog Circuit Design Engineer Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Hardware Design Engineer specializing in analog and mixed-signal circuit design to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end circuit design, safety/compliance analysis (EMI and Lightning protection), and ensuring circuit reliability through comprehensive worst-case and signal integrity analyses.
Key Responsibilities
- Circuit Design & Schematic Capture: Design and develop robust analog and mixed-signal circuit schematics for complex hardware systems.
- Compliance & Protection: Design EMI filters and perform lightning protection/transient analysis to ensure hardware complies with industry standards.
- Reliability & Tolerance Analysis: Perform worst-case circuit analysis (WCCA) considering component tolerances, power dissipation, and thermal conditions.
- Signal & Power Integrity: Conduct Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), and timing tolerance analyses to optimize high-speed performance and power distribution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with layout engineers, system architects, and testing teams from concept through validation.
Requirements & Qualifications Mandatory Skills
- Analog / Mixed-Signal Design: Proven experience in schematic capture and hardware design for analog/mixed-signal circuits.
- EMI & Transient Protection: Hands-on experience with EMI filter design and lightning/surge analysis.
Preferred / Optional Skills
- Experience conducting Worst-Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) (thermal, power, component tolerance).
- Familiarity with Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), and Timing Analysis simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, Hyper Lynx, or similar).
General Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of component selection, PCB design principles, and hardware debugging.
