Job Description: A Senior Accountant/Manager for a school oversees all financial operations, including fee billing, payroll, budget preparation, and audit coordination, ensuring compliance with financial regulations. They maintain accurate general ledgers, reconcile accounts, and report the school's financial status to school leadership/board members. Key Responsibilities

- Financial Management: Manage all accounting functions, including AP/AR, General Ledger, and cash flow.
- School Specific Tasks: Produce termly fee invoices, manage tuition collection, and process staff payroll and pensions.
- Budgeting & Reporting: Assist in preparing the annual operating budget, monitor variances, and provide monthly financial reports.
- Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with tax regulations (GST/TDS/VAT) and coordinate annual audit activities.
- Internal Controls: Maintain internal controls to protect school assets.
- Reporting: Present financial data and insights to school leadership.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting,



Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5–10 years of accounting experience, with school or educational institution experience preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and Excel.
- Robust knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP/AS) and tax compliance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
