Job Purpose
Role involves FEED, Concept, Basic & detail Engineering of Substations and AIS type & GIS type up to 765KV and STATCOM. ensure all engineering activities are well within time schedules, budgeted cost,quality and optimization. As a Project Engineering Manager, incumbent will ensure that all the design & engineering activities of the project adhere to quality, cost budgets and timelines.
Perform inter-discipline coordination (with Civil, Structural, MEP & Instrumentation) in addition to man-hours allocation of different roles in the project.
Key Drivers:
- Multi discipline design lead, Concept, Basic & detail engineering as EPC mode in 765KV AIS & GIS substations.
- Single point contact of all substation engineering for internal & external stake holders.
- Control & monitoring the Projects engineering of Feed and execution stage projects.
- Timely delivery & getting approvals from clients, Collaborating working with different venders and other stakeholders to Complete the engineering as per scheduled.
- Maintain the engineering process to get the quality deliverables, Monitoring engineering team to work collaborate to achieve the agreed schedules.
- Lead a large engineer team, embedding engineering governance frameworks, risk management, and quality assurance.
- Overse multi discipline engineering, ensuring compliance with national and international codes (IEC, IEEE, IS).
Incumbent Profile:
- Extensive experience in Design Leadership, multi-discipline engineering of Business unit projects, execution full life-cycle engineering of projects, ramping-up projects within time, budget & quality parameters, as per project requirements & best practice guidelines.
- Seasoned engineering leader with 28 years of global experience in strategic engineering leadership, technical governance, and multi-disciplinary project delivery across energy infrastructure, substations, and renewable projects. Proven track record of delivering multi-GW portfolios across India, Middle East etc including AIS/GIS substations up to 765kV, solar, wind, and hydrogen-based gas power plants.
