About Alpha Gen Learning

Alpha Gen Learning focuses on empowering Generation Alpha, a cohort born entirely in the 21st century, to understand and use technology confidently. We help young learners develop critical life skills so they can transform their ideas into meaningful projects that impact their communities.

Through technology-centered programmes, we nurture creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving, encouraging learners to form and express their own views while exploring their passions through hands-on, tech-based experiences.

Role Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Freelance Autodesk Maya Animation Tutor to work with students aged 16 years and above, including learners on the Autism Spectrum and students with learning disabilities.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about animation, patient with diverse learning needs, and excited about helping students bring their creative ideas to life through project-based learning.

Position Overview

This is a part-time, remote freelance role. The tutor will conduct one-on-one online animation sessions using Autodesk Maya and guide students through the process of learning animation, 3D design, storytelling, and project creation.

The tutor should be comfortable adapting their teaching style, pacing, and communication methods to suit individual student needs.

This is not a traditional teaching role. We are looking for educators who can build relationships with students, understand their learning styles, and adjust their approach based on the student's mood, attention span, and pace of learning.

Schedule

Preferred availability: Tuesday and/or Friday, 3:30 PM IST onwards
Session duration: 60–90 minutes





Long-term commitment preferred

Teaching Experience
Prior experience teaching animation to teenagers or young adults
Experience conducting online classes

Experience teaching students with: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

ADHD
Learning Disabilities

Other neurodiverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities
Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, and other neurodiverse learning profiles
Prepare lesson plans and project-based activities, adapting materials for special education needs
Break down complex concepts into simple, manageable learning steps
Help students create meaningful animation and 3D design projects
Provide constructive feedback and mentorship during live sessions and via online platforms
Track student progress and share observations with the academic team
Collaborate with the Alpha Gen Learning team to align content with educational goals
Communicate regularly with families or guardians as appropriate
Create a secure, engaging, and supportive learning environment

Demonstrate ownership and commitment towards student success

Skills and Qualifications
Proficiency in Autodesk Maya and related 3D modelling/animation tools, with the ability to explain complex concepts in age-appropriate ways
Experience designing inclusive curricula or adapting instructional materials for diverse learning needs
Comfort with online teaching platforms, digital collaboration tools, and remote classroom management

Prior experience in special needs education or youth-focused technology education is highly beneficial

Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Animation, Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Mandatory Requirements
Excellent spoken English with a neutral accent
Reliable internet connection and skilled online teaching setup
Must possess an active Autodesk Maya Educator/Teacher Account
Must be able to create and manage Autodesk student accounts and support students in accessing Autodesk Maya for classroom learning

Ability to consistently commit to scheduled classes
