About the job

Urban Kala is looking for an Accounts Executive to take over day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting. This is a hands-on execution role: accurate voucher entries, ERP-based bookkeeping, and clear written communication including writing prompts for the AI tools we already use to speed up recurring accounting and reporting work. We need someone who can start contributing quickly and is genuinely keen to keep learning.

Key Responsibilities
Record day-to-day accounting entries (payment, receipt, journal, and contra vouchers) covering assets, liabilities, expenses, and revenue
Maintain and reconcile bank statements, vendor ledgers, and petty cash
Draft and refine prompts for AI tools to run recurring accounting/reporting workflows we've already set up this needs clear, precise written English
Prepare basic MIS/reports and follow up on outstanding payments
Support month-end closing, GST/TDS filing coordination, and audit requests

Must-Have Skills
Bachelor's degree, preferably B.Com or related
1 year of hands-on accounting experience comfortable with voucher entries and debit/credit treatment across assets, liabilities, expenses, and revenue
Working knowledge of at least one accounting ERP (Tally Prime, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, SAP B1, or similar)
Strong written English able to write clear, professional emails and instructions (needed to write effective AI prompts)




Good pattern-recognition and logical ability comfortable spotting mismatches, errors, and trends in numbers
Genuine willingness to learn and upskill quickly, including working with new software and AI tools

Accounting English Proficiency (Written) MS-Excel Zoho Books
