The GM/DGM Service will lead the complete service across the EV fleet This senior leadership position ensures maximum fleet uptime, service quality, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. The role demands solid EV technical expertise, strategic leadership, and extensive experience in after-sales operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Roles and Responsibilities
- Service Coordination
- Oversee depot-level service operations across multiple locations.
- Ensure timely after-sales support and adherence to service standards for heavy commercial vehicles.
- Coordinate with service engineers and technicians to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Fleet Management
- Manage complete fleet operations including buses, trucks, and off-road vehicles.
- Monitor vehicle performance, downtime, and ensure quick turnaround for off-road cases.
- Warranty Handling
- Supervise warranty claim processing in line with OEM guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely claim settlements.
- Spare Parts Coordination
- Ensure optimal spare parts availability and inventory control.
- Coordinate procurement, vendor management, and cost optimization.
- Depot-Level Management
- Manage manpower allocation, service scheduling, and compliance at depot level.
- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for service efficiency.
- Team Management
- Lead and motivate service engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and training programs.
- Follow-Up and Reporting
- Ensure timely follow-up on service activities, pending jobs, and warranty claims.
- Prepare and present monthly service performance reports to senior management.
- Process Improvement
- Identify gaps in service operations and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
- Manpower Handling
- Plan and manage workforce requirements across depots.
- Ensure effective utilization of manpower and maintain discipline and productivity.
- Coordination with OEMs and Internal Departments
- Liaise with OEMs for technical updates, warranty approvals, and service campaigns.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Logistics for smooth operational support.
