Job Description NPD- Lead Project Manager
Role Overview
The role will be responsible for leading and governing the end-to-end Current Product Development (NPD) program through a team of Project Managers.
The incumbent will drive structured execution, process rigor, cross-functional alignment, and on-time delivery of product launches in line with business objectives.
This is a process-driven leadership role, accountable for ensuring all NPD projects are delivered within defined timelines, cost targets, and quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
1. NPD Program Leadership

- Lead and mentor Project Managers handling multiple concurrent NPD projects
- Drive centralized governance of all NPD programs
- Align project priorities with AOP and business roadmap
- Act as single point of accountability for NPD delivery

2. Project Governance & Execution Excellence

- Establish stage-gate NPD processes
- Monitor timelines, risks, and dependencies
- Drive OTIF product launches
- Conduct project reviews and escalation forums
- Coordinate with R&D;, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales & Marketing

3. Process & System Strengthening

- Build NPD frameworks, SOPs, and governance playbooks
- Drive process discipline and accountability
- Implement tools for tracking, planning, and risk management
- Improve time-to-market efficiency

4. Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management





- Work with Sales, Product, and Sourcing teams
- Ensure alignment across departments
- Resolve cross-functional bottlenecks

5. Vendor & External Coordination

- Manage ODM/OEM and supplier timelines
- Ensure milestone alignment
- Track sampling, validation, and ramp-up

6. Performance & Reporting

- Track KPIs: time-to-market, schedule adherence, cost vs target, launch success
- Provide leadership updates on status, risks, and resources

Ideal Candidate Profile

- 10 to 20 years in NPD Program/Project Management
- Mandatory Experience in electronics / EMS / manufacturing
- Strong leadership of multiple projects and PM teams
- Understanding of product lifecycle and ODM/OEM model
- High execution and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Background

- Large-scale product launch exposure
- Familiarity with MS Project, Jira, Asana
