We are seeking an Automation QE with strong expertise in Playwright, TypeScript and BDD to design and maintain scalable UI and API automation for a greenfield, multi-tenant platform.
You will build robust automation frameworks, validate critical workflows across UI, API and database layers and integrate automated suites into Azure DevOps pipelines for continuous quality.
Key responsibilities:
1.Automation framework development
- Design and maintain UI and API automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Implement BDD scenarios and build reusable page objects, services and test utilities.
- Add adapter contract tests with WireMock and Verify.NET where applicable.
2.Test execution and validation
- Automate critical business workflows and validate UI data against APIs and SQL Server responses.
- Integrate axe-based accessibility checks into end-to-end suites.
- Perform root-cause analysis and maintain clear, actionable test reporting.
3.CI/CD integration
- Integrate automation suites into Azure DevOps Pipelines for PR and nightly runs.
- Support release readiness through regression, validation and deployment verification.
Required technical skills and qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
- 4+ years of QA automation experience.
- Hands-on Playwright experience with TypeScript / JavaScript.
- Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g. Cucumber).
- API automation and validation expertise.
- Azure DevOps pipeline integration experience.
- Strong debugging, locator strategy and test-design skills.
Must have Skills:
- Strong hands-on Playwright + TypeScript and BDD automation.
- Proven UI + API framework building and Azure DevOps CI/CD integration.
- Strong debugging and root-cause-analysis capability.
- Framework ownership and collaboration skills.
Valuable to have skills:
- SQL knowledge for backend / data validation.
- Accessibility testing experience (axe / WCAG).
- Exposure to contract testing (WireMock, Verify.NET).
- Experience across multi-product or enterprise ecosystems.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools in the Software Development Lifecycle; Claude and GitHub Copilot preferred.
