About the Role

XpertDox builds XpertCoding, an AI-powered autonomous medical coding platform used by ambulatory practices, health systems, and RCM organizations in the US.

We are hiring a Medical Coding Content Writer who has spent years inside the codebook and now wants to write about the work. This is a specialist writing role, not a generalist marketing or content role. You will NOT write about clinical trials, patient wellness, or hospital branding.

You will write about ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS Level II, HCC risk capture, DRG assignment, denial patterns, CMS guideline changes, and how autonomous coding fits into a real RCM workflow. Your readers will be CMOs, CIOs, HIM directors, RCM VPs, CFOs, COOs, CEOs, and compliance officers.

Responsibilities

- Educational Content. Manuals, guides, and long-form articles that explain coding conventions and HCC capture to certified and student coders.
- Regulatory Advisories. Deep-dive analyses of annual coding guideline changes from AMA, CMS, AAPC, and AHIMA.
- Case Studies. Anonymized medical chart deconstructions that walk through diagnosis sequencing, code hierarchy, and audit findings.
- B2B Marketing Content. White papers, blog posts, and landing pages for XpertDox
- Product Storytelling. Explain how XpertCoding assigns codes, how it improves accuracy, and how it reduces denial rates. Written for people who will ask hard questions about audit trails and edge cases.
- Thought Leadership. Opinionated, forward-looking commentary on the future of medical coding, AI in RCM, and where autonomous workflows are actually headed. Bylined articles, LinkedIn long-form, and industry publications.

Requirements

- An active medical coding certification. AAPC CPC, AHIMA RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of hands-on work in medical coding,



billing, or RCM. You have coded charts, worked on denials, or handled audit responses.
- At least 1 year of writing experience in a professional setting. Technical writing, content marketing, or training content. Healthcare or SaaS is a strong plus.
- Working expertise in HCC coding and Value-Based Care. You know what a RAF score is, why it can be wrong, and what documentation gaps cause the most revenue loss.
- Fluency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS Level II, IP-DRG, and MS-DRG. You can explain why bundling rules matter and how sequencing affects reimbursement.
- Published thought leadership. A portfolio of bylined articles, LinkedIn long-form, or op-eds in industry publications
- Working knowledge of authoritative sources. CMS MLN, AAPC and AHIMA guidance, ICD-10 OGCR, CPT Assistant, HIPAA fundamentals.
- A clinical foundation solid enough to interpret physician notes. Anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology at a coder's level of detail.
