Job Summary
The AGM/DGM Accounts Receivable (AR) Operations will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for large-scale AR functions, ensuring optimal revenue realization, compliance adherence, operational excellence, and client satisfaction. The incumbent will drive process improvements, manage large teams, oversee AR compliance programs, and ensure achievement of key performance metrics while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Lead and oversee end-to-end Accounts Receivable operations across multiple teams and process lines.
- Manage daily AR operations including workload distribution, staffing, productivity, quality, and service delivery.
- Drive achievement of operational KPIs such as collections, aging reduction, denial management, recovery rates, and productivity targets.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, client expectations, and organizational objectives.
People Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop large teams comprising 250600 associates, team leads, managers, and senior managers.
- Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and leadership development programs.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Strategic Planning & Process Excellence
- Develop and execute short-term and long-term operational strategies, goals, and improvement initiatives.
- Identify process gaps and implement automation, standardization, and best practices to improve AR performance and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate the impact of process innovations, policy changes, and business transformation initiatives.
- Drive Lean, Six Sigma,
and continuous improvement methodologies wherever applicable.
Financial & Budget Management
- Assist in planning, developing, and managing departmental budgets, including staffing costs, operational expenses, and capital investments.
- Monitor financial performance and ensure optimum utilization of resources to achieve business objectives.
- Support profitability improvement through operational efficiencies and revenue enhancement initiatives.
Compliance & Audit Management
- Lead and monitor the AR Compliance Program to ensure adherence to regulatory, client, and organizational requirements.
- Develop and implement educational and training programs related to AR compliance, documentation standards, and revenue cycle best practices.
- Ensure timely dissemination and communication of regulatory updates, policy changes, and industry guidelines.
- Conduct and oversee internal audits, compliance reviews, and corrective action programs.
Revenue Cycle & Denial Management
- Review trends in claim denials, rejections, underpayments, and reimbursement issues.
- Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve first-pass resolution rates and maximize collections.
- Monitor aging reports and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding accounts.
Reporting & Analytics
- Design and implement systems, dashboards,
and reporting mechanisms to enhance data accessibility and decision-making.
- Conduct trend analysis and provide actionable insights related to AR performance, productivity, quality, and compliance.
- Prepare and present operational, financial, and management reports to senior leadership and clients.
- Leverage advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word capabilities for performance reporting and presentations.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, senior leadership, and cross-functional business partners.
- Drive governance meetings, business reviews, and strategic discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Build strong client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong understanding of healthcare AR compliance, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in MIS reporting, dashboard creation, and business analytics.
- Ability to drive operational excellence, change management, and process transformation initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate or Post Graduate
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma, Project Management, or Revenue Cycle Management is an added advantage.
- Experience managing large enterprise healthcare AR operations and client-facing engagements
