Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Analyst - Medical Coder to ensure coding accuracy, compliance, and quality standards across medical coding operations. The incumbent will be responsible for auditing coded medical records, identifying areas of improvement, providing feedback to coders, and ensuring adherence to client guidelines, coding regulations, and industry standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Perform quality audits of medical coding work across specialties including ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
- Review coded charts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with client-specific and regulatory guidelines.
- Identify coding errors, trends, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching to coding teams to improve coding accuracy and productivity.
- Conduct root cause analysis of recurring coding errors and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain quality scores and generate audit reports for management review.




- Stay updated on coding guideline changes, payer regulations, and industry best practices.
- Participate in calibration sessions with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Support training and knowledge-sharing initiatives for coding teams.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PHI, and organizational security standards.
- Assist in developing quality methodologies, audit tools, and process documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 3-9 years of experience in medical coding.
- Robust knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS codes.
- Candidates should possess hands-on coding and/or auditing experience in any one of the following specialties:

ED Facility Coding

ED Profee Coding

Denial Coding

E&M; Inpatient/Outpatient Coding (IP/OP)

- Certification: CPC / CCS preferred
