DESIGNATION: Manager - Information Technology (SAP ABAP)

SUMMARY :

Candidate with strong technical and leadership capabilities to deliver high-quality SAP solutions across implementation, rollout, upgrade, and support projects. The candidate will be responsible for developing RICEF objects, managing team deliverables, and collaborating with functional consultants to drive end-to-end SAP project execution.

KEY ACTIVITIES

Technical Development

- Design, develop, and enhance RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) [ABAP | PDF]
- Build and maintain:
- ALV Reports (Classical & Interactive)
- Interfaces (IDOCs, BAPI, RFC, Proxy)
- Conversions (BDC, LSMW)
- Enhancements (BADI, User exits, Enhancements Framework)
- Smart Forms & SAP Scripts
- Work on Web Dynpro and Module Pool programming
- Perform performance tuning, code reviews, and optimization

Project Delivery

- Participate in full lifecycle SAP implementations, rollouts, and upgrades.
- Prepare technical specifications based on functional requirements
- Engage in integration across SAP modules (SD, MM, FICO, PM, PP)
- Work on S/4HANA readiness and code remediation activities.

Team Leadership

- Lead and mentor a team of ABAP developers.
- Perform effort estimation and resource planning.
- Ensure timely delivery of development objects.
- Coordinate between functional, basis, and business teams.

Integration & System Support

- Develop complex integrations with third-party systems (via IDOCs, proxies,



SAP XI)
- Handle incident management, root cause analysis, and production support.
- Manage SPAU, SPDD, OSS Notes during upgrades.

Process & Business Understanding

- Understand business processes in Supply Chain & Finance Integration
- Translate business requirements into Technical Solutions

KEY SKILLS

- Bachelor's degree in engineering / IT
- SAP ABAP Certification (preferred)
- Strong expertise in:
- ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary
- RICEFW development
- IDOCs, BAPIs, RFC, Web Services
- SmartForms, SAP Scripts
- Experience in ECC and S/4HANA concepts
- Knowledge of performance tuning & debugging
- Cross-module integration: SD, MM, FICO, PM, PP
- Understanding of end-to-end SAP processes
- Sharp analytical mind with good attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task on issues
- Ability to work independently and on own initiative
- Skilled approach and demeanor
- Good organizational, communication, interpersonal and team skills
