1. Material Management
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials, ensuring they match purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Organize and maintain materials in a secure and accessible manner.
- Issue materials to site engineers, subcontractors, and workers as per approved requisitions.
- Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) system for material consumption.
- Inventory Control
- Maintain daily records of receipts and issues in material registers or ERP software.
- Conduct periodic stock verification and reconcile with physical inventory.
- Identify and report slow-moving, non-moving, or damaged materials.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock reports and submit them to the Project Manager and Head Office.
- Maintain accurate records such as Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), Issue Slips, and Return Notes.
- Assist in internal and external audits related to store operations.
- Coordination
- Coordinate with the procurement team for timely material replenishment.
- Liaise with vendors, transporters, and site teams for smooth material flow.
- Support site engineers in identifying material requirements.
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure proper storage of hazardous or perishable materials.
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety within the store area.
- Comply with company policies, safety standards, and audit requirements.
- Education: Diploma or Graduate (preferably in Civil / Material Management / Supply Chain).
- Experience: 2-6 years in construction store operations/other store operations.
- Skills Required:
- Knowledge of construction materials and inventory systems
- Computer proficiency (Excel, ERP preferred)
- Strong record-keeping and organizational skills
- Ability to manage manpower and coordinate with multiple teams
