Roles & Responsibilities

- Scheduling & sourcing valve steel RM from various domestic suppliers as per production requirements
- Co-ordinating with head office team for getting imported raw materials.
- Ensuring 100% availability of RM & consumables for the production requirements
- Co-ordination with plant and subcontractors for ontime materials availability.
- Maintaining inventory levels and meet the plant targets
- Co-ordinating & Disposal of scrap materials periodically as per the companies defined process
- Initiating cost reduction activities and sourcing materials at optimal cost.
- Cost negotiation activities.
- Ensuring the statutory & internal audit compliances.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 10-15 years of experience in steel industry, preferably in a similar role (Plant Materials Head).

- B.Tech/B.E. degree in Mechanical or related field; MBA preferred.

- Solid understanding of cost negotiation, cost reduction, global procurement, raw material procurement, scrap management, and sourcing/procurement principles.
