Job Summary
Sunmeister Energy Private Limited is seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Operations Manager to lead and oversee the company's day-to-day operational activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
The Operations Manager will work closely with the Sales, Design, Procurement, Projects, Finance, and Service teams to ensure seamless execution of projects from order confirmation through commissioning and after-sales support.
Key Responsibilities
Project Operations

- Plan, coordinate, and monitor the execution of residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional solar EPC projects.
- Ensure timely completion of projects within budget and according to client specifications.
- Allocate manpower, equipment, and resources effectively across multiple project sites.
- Monitor project schedules and proactively address delays or operational challenges.

Team Leadership

- Lead and manage Project Engineers, Site Supervisors, Installation Teams, and Service Engineers.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and training programs.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Procurement & Supply Chain Coordination

- Coordinate with the Procurement team to ensure timely availability of solar modules, inverters, mounting structures, cables, BOS materials, and accessories.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock movement.
- Build robust relationships with suppliers and vendors to support efficient project execution.

Quality Assurance





- Ensure all installations comply with Sunmeister's quality standards and applicable industry codes.
- Conduct periodic site inspections and quality audits.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve workmanship and reduce rework.

Health, Safety & Compliance

- Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across all project sites.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, local statutory requirements, and customer-specific safety protocols.
- Promote a zero-incident safety culture through regular toolbox talks and safety audits.

Customer Relationship Management

- Act as the primary operational contact for customers during project execution.
- Ensure timely communication regarding project milestones and progress.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Coordinate project handover, commissioning, and after-sales support.

Process Improvement

- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and productivity enhancement.
- Introduce best practices for project planning, execution, documentation, and reporting.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

- Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports for management.
- Track project progress, resource utilization, budgets, and operational KPIs.
- Analyze operational data and recommend strategic improvements.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.

Experience

- 5-10 years of experience in operations, project execution, or EPC management..
- Experience handling multiple rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects is preferred.

Technical Skills

- Strong understanding of Solar PV systems, EPC execution, and commissioning.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, LT/HT installations, and safety standards.
- Familiarity with net metering procedures and utility coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, MS Project, ERP software, and project management tools.
