Accounts Executive
Job Summary
The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing the organisation's financial records, recording accurate transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The role involves handling daily accounting operations, supporting audits, and assisting in financial planning and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions.
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor cash flow and maintain petty cash records.
- Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Ensure timely tax filings and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Support payroll processing and employee reimbursement activities.
- Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Professional certification ( ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- 15 years of relevant accounting experience (depending on the position level).
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
