- Fresh mechanical engineers with solid practical skills may also be considered.

Key Responsibilities
Assembly:
- Assemble worm, helical, bevel, planetary, and custom gearboxes according to engineering drawings and SOPs.
- Verify all purchased and machined parts before assembly.
- Measure bearing preload, gear backlash, shaft end play, and alignment.
- Select and apply correct lubricants and sealants.
- Ensure proper torque tightening using calibrated torque tools.
- Maintain clean and contamination-free assembly practices.
- Prepare test reports and quality records.
- Diagnose failures and recommend corrective actions.
Quality & Documentation
- Follow assembly SOPs and quality checklists.
- Record serial numbers and traceability data.
- Raise NCRs for non-conforming parts.
- Support ISO documentation and audits.
- Coordinate with Design and Quality departments for technical issues.
Continuous Improvement
- Reduce assembly time through process improvements.
- Improve First Pass Yield (FPY).
- Implement 5S and Lean practices.
- Suggest tooling and fixture improvements.
Required Skills
- Reading mechanical drawings and GD&T.;
- Knowledge of fits and tolerances.
- Bearings, oil seals, circlips, couplings, and fasteners.
- Precision measuring instruments:
- Vernier
- Micrometer
- Dial indicator
- Bore gauge
- Height gauge
- Torque wrench
- Gearbox testing procedures.
- Basic PLC/VFD operation is an advantage.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
