Job Summary
The Junior Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day infrastructure activities across the factory premises. The role includes execution and monitoring of civil, electrical, plumbing, renovation, vendor coordination, material management, documentation, and ensuring timely completion of maintenance and project activities while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Internal Renovation & Interior Works
- Execute and supervise internal renovation, modification, and refurbishment works.
- Coordinate with contractors to ensure work completion as per approved drawings and timelines.
- Monitor work quality and compliance with company standards.
2. Civil Maintenance & Project Execution
- Supervise all civil maintenance activities within the factory premises.
- Coordinate civil repair works including masonry, flooring, painting, waterproofing, fabrication-related civil work, and structural maintenance.
- Conduct regular inspections and report infrastructure-related issues.
3. Electrical Maintenance Coordination
- Coordinate electrical maintenance and minor installation activities.
- Monitor execution of electrical jobs through vendors.
- Ensure electrical work complies with safety regulations and standards.
4. Plumbing & Utility Maintenance
- Coordinate plumbing maintenance, water supply systems, drainage, sanitary fittings, and utility-related works.
- Ensure timely rectification of leakages and plumbing issues.
5. Factory Infrastructure Maintenance
- Support maintenance of all factory infrastructure including offices, production areas, canteen, washrooms, parking,
and common facilities.
- Ensure infrastructure is maintained in a safe and operational condition.
6. Material Management
- Prepare material requirements based on work scope.
- Maintain records of material receipt, consumption, and stock.
- Coordinate with Stores and Procurement for timely material availability.
- Monitor proper utilization of materials to minimize wastage.
7. Vendor Coordination & Documentation
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for execution of assigned work.
- Obtain quotations, compare offers, and assist in vendor selection.
- Maintain proper documentation including Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), Work Orders (WO), quotations, invoices, work completion reports, and warranty documents.
- Track vendor performance and work completion status.
8. Site Supervision
- Monitor day-to-day activities at site.
- Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.
- Verify work measurements before certification.
9. Planning & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly work progress reports.
- Update MIS reports and maintain project documentation.
- Report project progress, delays, and issues to senior management.
10. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with EHS and company safety policies.
- Verify that contractors use appropriate PPE and follow safe work practices.
- Participate in safety inspections and audits.
11. Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain records of AMC, warranties, equipment history, drawings, BOQ, work completion reports, and maintenance logs.
- Ensure all infrastructure documents are updated and easily retrievable.
12. Coordination with Internal Departments
- Coordinate with Production, HR, Admin, EHS, Purchase, Stores, and other departments for infrastructure-related requirements.
- Provide timely support for department-specific maintenance activities.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of Civil, Electrical, and Plumbing works.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD drawings (preferred).
- Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
- Valuable communication and vendor management skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Time management and multitasking capability.
- Ability to work under deadlines.
Preferred Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. in Civil Engineering (Preferred).
- 13 years of experience in Industrial Infrastructure, Facility Management, or Civil Maintenance.
