Role & responsibilities

The Modeler is responsible for developing accurate 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, and fixture designs using UG NX (Siemens NX). The role involves supporting Current Product Introduction (NPI) activities by creating production-ready designs, implementing GD&T; standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining engineering documentation while ensuring quality, manufacturability, and timely project execution.

- Create detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using UG NX (Siemens NX).
- Design manufacturing fixtures, jigs, and tooling with advanced clamping mechanisms.
- Prepare complete fixture drawings for manufacturing and assembly.
- Apply GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards in engineering drawings.
- Participate in PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) activities with cross-functional teams.
- Attend product development meetings and support project planning and execution.




- Modify and revise CAD models and drawings based on engineering changes and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with design, manufacturing, quality, and production teams to gather design inputs.
- Review design concepts and recommend improvements for manufacturability and productivity.
- Maintain engineering design databases, CAD files, and revision history.
- Update and maintain engineering documentation as per company standards.
- Provide engineering data required for PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation.
- Ensure all designs comply with aerospace quality and manufacturing standards.
