We are looking for a PPC candidate for our manufacturing plant located at Jigani industrial area .

Responsibilities:

- Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on OEM order book, container schedules, and buyer forecasts
- Create Master Production Schedule and align with material availability for 100+ SKUs across models, fabrics, mechanisms
- Plan for current product introductions, pilot runs, and engineering change notices in coordination with Design & NPD
- Balance load across carpentry, foam molding, fabric cutting, stitching, assembly, and packing departments
- Analyze BOM for each sofa model: wood frames, plywood, foam, fabric/leather, recliner mechanisms, springs, zippers, threads
- Raise material requirements through MRP/SAP and coordinate with Procurement for imported mechanisms, fabrics, and critical items
- Track and minimize shortages, excess, and obsolescence, especially for custom-order fabrics
- Release work orders and track WIP across all stages: frame foam cutting stitching upholstery final assembly packing
- Identify bottlenecks using line balancing, time study, and capacity analysis; take corrective actions with Production team
- Ensure adherence to production plan and escalate deviations affecting OEM delivery commitments
- Coordinate with Quality for in-process checks and rework planning to protect delivery dates
- Conduct time & motion studies for stitching, upholstery, and assembly operations; set standard times
- Optimize plant layout and material flow for fabric store, cutting room, and assembly lines
- Implement Lean tools: 5S, SMED for model changeovers, VSM for lead time reduction




- Analyze manpower vs machine utilization and recommend productivity improvements
- Liaise with Sales/OEM accounts team for order confirmation, delivery priorities, and container stuffing plans
- Provide daily MIS on plan vs actual, OTD%, WIP status, shortage reports, and capacity utilization
- Support month-end closing: WIP valuation, consumption reconciliation, and variance analysis
- Drive weekly S&OP; meetings with Procurement, Production, and Quality

Requirements:

- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, or Production Engineering
- Experience: 3-5 years in PPC role, preferably in furniture, automotive seating, upholstery, or batch manufacturing
- Technical Skills: SAP PP-MM / ERP, MS Excel Advanced, AutoCAD for layout, basic SQL for reports
- IE Skills: Time study, line balancing, capacity planning, plant layout, Lean Manufacturing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for high-mix, variable-volume OEM environment
- Understanding of furniture BOMs, wood + fabric + mechanism lead times, and export logistics
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage last-minute buyer changes
- Excellent coordination with cross-functional teams: Design, Quality, Purchase, Stores, Production
- Hands-on shop floor exposure and bias for data-driven decision making
