JOB TITLE: New Part Development
Dept: Industrial Engineering

1. Job Summary:
Engineer responsible for development of new machined parts on CNC Turning, HMC and 5-Axis machines, including process planning, tooling, fixture development, trials, process validation and production handover while meeting Quality, Cost and Delivery targets.

2. Responsibility & Authority:

Current Part Development

1. Develop machining processes for current components on CNC, HMC and 5-Axis machines.
2. Study drawings, GD&T; and specifications.
3. Prepare process flow, SOPs, setup sheets and control plans.
4. Select cutting tools, fixtures and work holding.
5. Support CNC programming and prove-out.
6. Conduct trials and first-off approval.
7. Optimize cycle time and machining parameters.
8. Coordinate with Design, Quality, Production, Purchase and Tool Room.
9. Maintain development documents.
10. Lead new product industrialization.
11. Develop fixtures, gauges and poka-yoke.
12. Introduce automation and new technologies.
13. Drive Lean, Kaizen and cost reduction.

SAP work for routings & MDB creation.

3. Knowledge required:

1. Knowledge of CNC Turning, HMC and 5-Axis machining.
2. GD&T;, cutting tools, fixtures and metrology.
3. CAD/CAM and CNC controls (Siemens).
4. Lean Manufacturing.
5. Basic knowledge of quality tools, safety standards, and data analysis (MS Excel).

Job requirements:

Education required:

1. Bachelor's Diploma / degree in Mechanical
2. Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular).
3. SAP

Experience required: 8+ years
