Job Summary:

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, planning, installing, maintaining, and improving mechanical systems and equipment. The role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable operation while meeting quality, cost, and project schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and improve mechanical systems, equipment, and components.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Plan and supervise installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
- Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability.
- Coordinate with production, quality, procurement, and other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review vendor quotations, technical specifications, and material requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
- Investigate equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare maintenance schedules, reports, and project documentation.




- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support cost reduction, energy conservation, and productivity improvement projects.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech. Mechanical).
- Relevant professional certifications are an added advantage.

Experience:

- 10 years of experience in manufacturing, or industrial engineering.
- Hands-on experience in independently designing mechanical systems
- Project management experience preferred
- Ability to lead junior engineers

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, pumps, compressors, piping, and rotating equipment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other CAD software + 2D/3D models.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with engineering standards, codes, and safety regulations.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Robust communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
