Key Responsibilities - Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for assigned corporate-focused entities, including detailed review of the complete Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, and P&L.; - Review overheads and functional costs, such as payroll, professional fees, technology, facilities, travel, and other corporate expenditures by cost center and function. - Oversee accruals, prepayments, and provisions for completeness, aging, utilization, release, and estimation quality, ensuring timely closure of unsupported balances. - Supervise payroll and employee cost accounting, including payroll journals, bonus and incentive accruals, employee benefits, statutory liabilities, and clearing accounts. - Analyze corporate allocations, recharges, and intercompany cost flows, preparing clear commentary on material variances related to overheads and headcount. - Coordinate Group Reporting submissions and manage external audit processes, ensuring timely closure of audit and control actions for assigned entities. - Review and challenge outputs from Record-to-Report (R2R), Accounts Payable (AP), Payroll, Intercompany, Fixed Assets, and other process teams to ensure accurate and compliant accounting. - Identify recurring exceptions and control gaps, driving root-cause remediation, standardization, and process improvements across financial operations. Overview - The Manager, Overhead Accounting role in Bangalore is a critical position within the Consulting sector, responsible for ensuring the financial integrity of assigned entities. - This role involves a detailed review of the complete Trial Balance and all Balance Sheet and P&L; GLs, with a particular focus on overheads, accruals, prepayments, payroll, employee costs,
provisions, and corporate recharges. - The incumbent will manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for corporate-focused entities, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial results. - This position requires a thorough understanding of financial accounting, entity reporting, and audit requirements. - The role is pivotal in analyzing corporate allocations, recharges, and intercompany cost flows to prepare clear commentary on material variances. - Additionally, the Manager will coordinate Group Reporting submissions and external audit processes. - The position demands strong analytical and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on identifying control gaps and driving process improvements across various financial functions. Requirements - Strong experience in financial accounting, entity reporting, Trial Balance review, Balance Sheet control, and P&L; analysis. - Positive understanding of overhead, accrual, prepayment, and payroll accounting, including employee costs, provisions, corporate allocations, and recharges. - Sound knowledge of IFRS, including relevant IAS 19 and IAS 37 considerations, financial controls, group reporting, and audit requirements. - Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively within tight close timelines. - Professional certification (CA / CFA / CMA / CPA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with 7-10.11 years of relevant experience, or without certification or partial completion, 12-14.11 years supported by a degree in commerce, finance, or accounting. - Ability to identify and implement process improvements and manage control issues effectively.
