About the Chance

University of the West of Scotland (UK), at our new UWS Bangalore campus is hiring an Assistant Professor - MBA Programme Coordinator. The role involves teaching MBA courses and leading seven MBA specialisations. Candidates should have an international PhD in HRM, Digital Marketing Logistics & Supply Chain, or Banking & Finance, along with strong teaching, research, and academic leadership experience. This is an opportunity to help build a new international business school.

MBA Programme Scope

The selected candidate will lead and teach across the MBA programme, primarily in their area of PhD specialization, while also contributing to related subjects. The MBA includes seven specializations:

1. MBA General 2. Banking & Finance 3. Digital Marketing Logistics 4. Supply Chain.

What You Will Do

Teaching & Curriculum Leadership

- Teach and lead the MBA programme by delivering core and elective courses, coordinating curriculum, assessments, module delivery, and student progression across all specializations.
- Develop and enhance the curriculum by collaborating with UWS, supervising dissertations, designing assessments, incorporating real-world business practices, and contributing to executive education and corporate training.

Research & Scholarly Activity

- Conduct high-quality research by publishing in internationally recognized journals, collaborating with UWS faculty, and securing national and international research grants.
- Strengthen the Schools research profile by supervising MBA dissertations, mentoring junior researchers, publishing academic papers and presenting research at national and international conferences.

Programme Coordination & Academic Administration





- Lead MBA programme management by overseeing programme delivery & assessments reviews, curriculum quality, student performance, and ensuring compliance with UGC, AICTE, QAA, and accreditation standards.
- Support academic operations and student success by mentoring students, coordinating with faculty and administrators, and contributing to programme development and continuous improvement.

Industry Interface & Institutional Contribution

- Strengthen industry engagement by collaborating on consulting projects, industry immersion, simulations, and building relationships with corporate partners and guest speakers.
- Support institutional growth by representing the School at academic events, contributing to rankings and quality reviews, and assisting with faculty development and curriculum training.

What We Are Looking For

Education

- Essential qualifications: Completed PhD from a recognized university in India or UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, or Europe in HRM, Digital Marketing, Logistics & Supply Chain, or Finance & Banking, along with a relevant Masters degree.

Experience

- Experience & added value: Upto 8 years of postgraduate teaching experience (MBA/MSc/MA), with strong teaching effectiveness. UGC-NET (for eligible Indian candidates) and relevant professional certifications or industry accreditations are desirable.




- Familiarity with academic administration systems, LMS platforms, or document management tools is desirable

Research & Publication Standards

- Minimum publication requirement: At least 5 peer-reviewed journal publications.
- Recognized indexing: Publications must be indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, ABDC, or ABS/AJG journals.
- Research activity: An active research pipeline (papers under review, ongoing projects, or funded research) is highly desirable.
- Application requirement: Submit top 3 publications for review; conference papers, book chapters, and case studies are valued but do not count toward the minimum publication requirement.
