Job Description Senior Executive (Line Feeding)

Position: Senior Executive – Line Feeding
Location: JSW MG Motors Plant, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar
Department: In-Plant Logistics / Operations
Reporting To: Assistant Manager / Manager – Operations

Job Purpose

To ensure uninterrupted material availability at the production line through effective line feeding, inventory control, manpower management, and coordination with stores, production, and quality teams while adhering to safety and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

Production Line Feeding

- Ensure timely and accurate line feeding as per the production schedule.
- Maintain uninterrupted material flow to prevent production stoppages.
- Monitor JIT/JIS material supply and ensure adherence to customer requirements.
- Coordinate with warehouse, stores, and production teams for smooth operations.

Material & Inventory Management

- Monitor inventory at line-side locations.
- Ensure FIFO implementation and inventory accuracy.
- Track shortages, excess inventory, and material discrepancies.
- Coordinate replenishment of materials from stores.

Team Management

- Lead and supervise line feeding operators and team leaders.
- Allocate manpower based on production requirements.
- Conduct shift briefings and monitor daily performance.
- Train team members on SOPs, safety, and quality standards.

Process & Operational Control

- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Monitor line feeding KPIs and identify process improvements.
- Coordinate with production planning to meet daily targets.
- Support implementation of Lean, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives.





System & Documentation

- Update ERP/WMS transactions accurately.
- Maintain daily production support reports, shift reports, and MIS.
- Monitor inventory reconciliation and material movement records.

Safety & Quality

- Ensure compliance with EHS guidelines and PPE usage.
- Maintain 5S standards in warehouse and line-side areas.
- Report and investigate operational deviations or safety incidents.
- Support quality containment activities whenever required.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- 100% line feeding availability
- Zero production stoppage due to material shortage
- Inventory accuracy above 99%
- 100% FIFO compliance
- On-time material delivery to production line
- Zero safety violations
- Productivity and manpower utilisation as per target
- Timely ERP/WMS transaction completion

Educational Qualification

- Graduate / Diploma / B.E. (Mechanical, Automobile, Industrial, or related discipline)

Experience

- 4–8 years of experience in automotive in-plant logistics, warehouse operations, or line feeding.
- Experience in OEM or Tier-1 automotive manufacturing is preferred.
