About the Opportunity

University of the West of Scotland (UK), at our new UWS Bangalore campus is hiring an Associate Professor - Master of Public Administration Coordinator (MPA) programme. The role involves teaching, research, programme leadership, curriculum development, quality assurance, and coordinating with both partner universities.

What You Will Do

Master of Public Administration

- Lead the MPA programme by managing curriculum design, delivery, and continuous improvement in line with UWS, Presidency University, and regulatory standards.
- Oversee academic administration, including timetabling, assessments, examination boards, and accreditation documentation.
- Teach postgraduate courses in Public Administration, Public Policy, Governance, and related subjects.
- Supervise student research, including dissertations, capstone projects, and independent research.
- Promote research excellence through publications, grant applications, conference participation, and mentoring junior faculty.
- Strengthen external engagement by collaborating with UWS, government agencies, NGOs, think tanks, and industry for internships, live projects, guest lectures, and placements.

What We Are Looking For

Education

- Essential qualifications: Completed PhD from a recognized university in India or UK, USA, Australia, Current Zealand, or Europe in Public Policy,



Governance, or Political Science with a Public Administration specialization, along with a relevant Masters degree.

Experience

- Up to 8 years of postgraduate teaching, research, and academic administration experience, preferably with international exposure.
- Research profile with upto 5 peer-reviewed publications in Scopus, Web of Science, or other top-tier journals

Skills & Attributes

- Experience in curriculum design, programme coordination, and academic quality assurance.
- Prior experience with transnational education (TNE), twinning, or dual-degree programmes is an advantage.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural collaboration skills for working in an international academic partnership
