Role Overview
- Job Title: Scrum Master
- Reports To: TBD
- Working hours: Full-time; aligned to teams core collaboration hours (with flexibility as needed)
Role Purpose & Key Responsibilities
- Why are we hiring for this role? To help the team deliver high-quality product increments predictably by strengthening Scrum practices, removing impediments, and enabling continuous improvement across delivery, collaboration, and flow.
- Facilitate Scrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective) and ensure they are productive and time-boxed.
- Coach the Scrum Team and stakeholders on Agile principles, Scrum theory, and empiricism (transparency, inspection, adaptation).
- Remove impediments and manage dependencies by collaborating with other teams and functions (e.g., Product, Engineering, QA, UX, Ops).
- Support the Product Owner with backlog refinement practices and establishing clear Sprint Goals.
- Drive continuous improvement using metrics and qualitative feedback (e.g., flow efficiency, cycle time, team health) and help the team improve predictability and quality.
- Protect the team from unplanned work and disruptions, and promote sustainable pace.
- Foster psychological safety, effective collaboration, and conflict resolution within the team.

Candidate Profile
- Required Qualifications (Must-Haves):
- 3+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master (or Agile Coach in a Scrum context) with cross-functional product teams.
- Strong knowledge of Scrum and Agile principles, facilitation techniques, and servant leadership.
- Experience coaching teams and stakeholders, including supporting Product Owners with backlog practices.
- Proven ability to identify and remove impediments, manage risks, and navigate dependencies.
- Strong knowledge of Agile reporting and flow metrics (e.g., throughput, WIP, cycle/lead time, predictability) and ability to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence without authority.
- Hands-on experience with Agile delivery tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence) and basic reporting/metrics.
- Experience working in regulated domains such as Payments and/or Aviation (nice to have).
- Hands-on experience operating in a SAFe Agile delivery model (e.g., ART ceremonies, PI Planning, program/portfolio collaboration).
- Experience supporting PI Objectives and the Inspect & Adapt workshop to drive alignment, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Understanding of compliance, security, and risk considerations common in Payments or Aviation environments.
- Experience using AI-assisted tools (e.g., meeting summarization, backlog refinement support, insight generation) to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of Scrum teams.
- Experience with DevOps/CI-CD and flow-oriented metrics (e.g., lead time, deployment frequency) in software delivery environments.
- Facilitation and workshop design skills (e.g., story mapping, retrospectives, root-cause analysis).

- Primary Tech Stack: Agile tooling and collaboration stack (e.g., Jira, Confluence/SharePoint, Teams/Miro); working alongside a modern engineering environment (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, cloud services) to support delivery and flow.
