Position: Senior Enterprise Data Platform Engineer

Purpose of the Position: Lead the architecture and design of a modern enterprise data platform that enables scalable data products, analytics, AI, and business intelligence capabilities. The role is responsible for establishing enterprise data architecture standards, governance frameworks, engineering best practices, and technical oversight across multiple delivery teams.

Key Result Areas and Activities:

1. Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable Data Lakehouse solutions on AWS and Databricks
2. Evaluate and onboard data sources to support analytics, AI, and Generative AI initiatives
3. Design and optimize data pipelines, data models, and integration frameworks to enable reliable and efficient data processing
4. Implement and maintain data governance, lineage, metadata management, and data quality practices across data platforms
5. Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and technical teams to translate data and AI requirements into scalable data solutions
6. Provide technical leadership to development teams, drive best practices, support solution design decisions, and ensure successful project delivery

Essential Skills:

- Strong experience building and implementing enterprise-scale Data Platforms and Lakehouse solutions
- Hands-on expertise with AWS services (S3, Glue, IAM, Lambda, Lake Formation, Redshift)
- Extensive experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
- Deep understanding of Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers)
- Strong Data Modeling and Enterprise Integration experience
- Proficiency in Spark/PySpark, SQL, and Python
- Experience assessing and integrating data assets to support AI, Analytics, and Enterprise Data initiatives




- Strong technical leadership skills with experience leading delivery teams, driving design discussions, code reviews, and stakeholder collaboration

Desirable Skills:

- Experience supporting AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI initiatives
- Understanding of AI data readiness, feature engineering, vector databases, and AI data governance principles
- Experience working with SAP data landscapes and ERP integrations
- Experience contributing to data platform roadmaps and initiatives supporting AI adoption and business transformation programs
- CI/CD implementation for Data Engineering platforms
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Experience with Data Product operating models and ownership frameworks
- Exposure to enterprise transformation and modernization programs
- Familiarity with MLOps, Model Governance, and AI platform architecture patterns

Qualifications:

- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or related domains
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
- Masters degree in Technology, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related discipline preferred
- Relevant AWS, Databricks, or Enterprise Architecture certifications are desirable
