Job Description: Cherwell Developer

Being a member of the Cherwell application team

Provide technical assistance, software configuration/customization assistance including, but not

limited to: visual interfaces, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, LDAP integration,

custom scripting and third party software integrations.

This includes working with process owners to develop workflow, implement the workflows in

Cherwell, administer the tools and handle related incident tickets.

Responsible for the development, implementation and sustained support of Cherwell solutions

being provided by the team.

Follow Development process best practices as prescribed by the organization wrt to

requirements, risk assessment, testing, design documentation, status updates, and

communication and quality guidelines.

Provide creative solutions to resolve business problems via customer requirements based on

system capability, process gaps (ITSM/ITIL)

Possess the technical skills to assist in Cherwell System Design/Configuration; site and workflow

creation, form design, business logic/workflow

Assist in gathering and documenting user and process requirements.

Perform quality assurance (QA) testing and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT).

Provide analysis and resolution for issues that arise during and following production deployment.





Develop clear and concise technical & process documentation and be able to effectively

communicate this knowledge to all levels of management

Make recommendations and help implement changes relative to the functionality within ITSM tool

Apply sound release management and configuration management principles to ensure the

stability of production environments

Act as a consultant to key stakeholders and cross function teams.

Provide training to technical teams, infrastructure teams, and service desk on the use of the ITSM

tool as and when necessary.

Job Requirements:

Expertise in Cherwell Asset management implementation and CMDB integration.

Skilled in conducting client meetings, requirements elicitation, fit-gap analysis, and

implementations for Cherwell modules.

Worked on Integrating Cherwell with third party tools

Direct hands-on experience on various ITIL processes like CMDB Management, change

management, Configuration Management, Incident and Problem Management, Knowledge

Management, Reporting, Integration with Web Services, End user Website & Portal design

ITIL Framework knowledge / Certification is a plus.
