Microbiologist cum Quality Incharge

We're looking for an experienced Microbiologist cum Quality Incharge to manage quality assurance, microbiological testing, and food safety compliance at our beverage manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure FSSAI and food safety compliance across the plant
- Implement and monitor Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Batch preparation of juices and carbonated soft drinks and ensuring quality and consistency
- Conduct microbiological/chemical testing of raw materials, water, in-process samples, and finished products
- Maintain hygiene, sanitation, and pest control standards
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GHP, HACCP, and SOPs
- Maintain quality records and documentation
- Handle FSSAI/customer audits and regulatory inspections
- Monitor water treatment, CIP/SIP, and sanitation effectiveness
- Investigate complaints and deviations; implement CAPA
- Train staff on food safety and hygiene practices
- Coordinate with NABL/FSSAI-approved labs for external testing




- Ensure calibration of lab equipment

Qualifications

- M.Sc. in Microbiology / Food Microbiology / Food Technology / Biotechnology / Dairy Technology (or equivalent); B.Sc. with relevant experience also considered

Skills

- Robust knowledge of FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000
- Microbiological testing and lab management
- Documentation, root cause analysis, CAPA
- Leadership, communication, MS Office proficiency

Preferred

- Experience in juice and CSD manufacturing
- Able to independently manage the Quality Department
- Immediate joiners preferred

Experience

- 1-2 years in a juice, beverage, soft drink, packaged water, or food manufacturing plant
- Hands-on experience in beverage QC and microbiological testing
- FSSAI compliance/audit experience mandatory

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
