Job Title: Purchase Officer (Steel Industry)

Location: Urla, Raipur

Salary: Up to ₹22,000 per month

Experience: Minimum 5 Years

Working Hours: 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Purchase Officer with a background in the steel industry. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in procurement, vendor coordination, purchase documentation, and inventory management to ensure the timely availability of materials.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage procurement activities for raw materials and other operational requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
- Prepare purchase orders and maintain purchase records and documentation.
- Compare quotations and negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing.
- Coordinate with stores and production teams to monitor material availability.
- Track purchase orders and ensure timely receipt of materials.
- Maintain vendor records and assist in vendor performance evaluation.
- Support inventory planning and coordinate material requirements.




- Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and documentation standards.

Required Skills

- Experience in procurement within the steel industry.
- Knowledge of vendor management and purchase documentation.
- Understanding of inventory coordination and material planning.
- Positive negotiation and communication skills.
- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Excel and ERP/Tally (preferred).
- Strong organizational and follow-up abilities.

Eligibility

- Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement within the steel industry.
- Graduate in any discipline; relevant technical qualification will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple departments.
