Production planning & scheduling

Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production targets based on order book, line capacity, manpower, and delivery dates; prepare and update production schedules and follow‑up reports.

Balance lines and re‑plan capacity in case of material or labor shortages, delays, or style changes.

- On‑floor production & line management

Supervise cutting, sewing, finishing, packing, and maintenance sections; ensure smooth workflow from raw material to finished garments.

Monitor real‑time output, efficiency, and man‑to‑machine ratio; identify bottlenecks and take corrective actions.

- Quality & compliance

Ensure that garments meet buyer specifications, internal quality standards, and required certifications.

Implement and support quality control, inspection, and re‑training programs to reduce defects and rework.

- Resource & manpower management

Estimate manpower and machine requirements; assign and supervise line supervisors, operators, and helpers.

Promote valuable housekeeping, safety,



and discipline on the shop‑floor and ensure compliance with factory policies and labor/health‑safety norms.

- Inter‑department coordination

Coordinate closely with Merchandising, Planning, Cutting, IE (Industrial Engineering), Quality, Store, and Finance departments.

Participate in pre‑production meetings, critical‑path discussions, and SMV/routing approvals.

- Vendor & factory coordination

Liaise with outside vendors, subcontractors, or partner factories (if applicable) for production, capacity sharing, and quality standards.

Travel to factories or partner units as needed to monitor production progress and resolve issues.

- Cost, delivery & reporting

Monitor production cost per piece, overtime, and material usage; suggest cost‑saving measures without compromising quality.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly WIP and production reports for senior management and buyers.
